Sheet pile walls are thin retaining structures designed to hold back soil, water, or other fill materials, making them ideal for excavation shoring, waterfront developments, cofferdams, riverbank protection, and foundation protection works.
Our sheet pile systems are designed with interlocking sections that are installed in sequence along the required project line. These piles create a strong and continuous retaining wall capable of withstanding lateral pressure from soil and water. Depending on site conditions, EGF installs sheet piles using vibratory hammers, impact hammers for dense or hard soil conditions, or hydraulic pressing methods where suitable.
Based on project requirements and ground conditions, sheet pile walls can be designed as cantilever walls or propped walls, including anchored or strutted systems. This flexibility makes them suitable for a wide range of infrastructure, marine, and construction projects across challenging environments.
Steel sheet piles are widely preferred because they are lightweight, durable, recyclable, and reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective retaining solution. They are also resistant to high driving stresses, easy to extend or modify by welding or bolting, and can be used above or below water with minimal maintenance and long service life.
